Basic Hiring and Recruitment Practices

Peter will explain how to attract and hire the best teachers. The session will explain best practices in hiring foreign teachers and where good schools are losing quality job candidates. We will also address the common red flags during the hiring process allowing you to avoid hiring a toxic or disgruntled teacher.  

In addition to covering the “dos and don’t” of finding good teachers, including advertising, communication and the interview process. He will share a number of tips and shortcuts for both getting the word out about recruitment, efficiently whittling down the list of applications, and choosing the right final candidate for the job!

Peter Lackner is the managing partner of JobsinJapan.com and has many years of experience working in recruitment and job placement in Japan. He has seen a lot of successful hiring cases, as well as many that were not successes. He has a lot of tips and tricks for helping international school administrators manage this process!
